Life Coaching for Creatives

Feeling creatively stuck or overwhelmed? You're not alone. That's where I come in. 


I'm Vicki Hodges - a certified life coach, musician and advocate for creative wellbeing. I specialise in helping people like you rediscover your spark, overcome self-doubt and navigate the unique challenges of your artistic journey. 

What is life coaching?

Life coaching is a supportive space to pause, reflect and move forward with intention. It's not about fixing you - you're not broken. Instead, we focus on finding clarity, building confidence and creating a life that feels intentional and more aligned with who you are. 


You might be doing 'fine' but something doesn't feel quite right. You might feel stuck, unmotivated or overwhelmed - or just know that there's more out there for you, if only you had the time and space to work it out. 


Coaching helps untangle what I sometimes call 'thought spaghetti' - those messy, overlapping thoughts and worries - and turn them into something simpler, clearer and more you. Our work together focuses on you feeling seen, supported and gently challenged. Together we'll explore your values, goals, habits and patterns and build a plan of action that fits your life. 

Is coaching right for me?

Coaching is great if:

  • You feel like you're treading water, but are itching to swim
  • You're feeling unmotivated, stuck or lost in your identity
  • You've got goals in mind but need some help getting started (or seeing things through)
  • You're facing change or transition and want to move forward with clarity
  • You want to build your confidence, accountability or self-belief
  • You need space to reconnect with yourself


You don't have to be in crisis to benefit. In fact, coaching is most effective when things are 'okay' but you know deep down you want more. Think of it as preventative rather than curative: like a creative MOT, or a gentle course correction that ripples itself out across your work and wellbeing. 

What's the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching often gets lumped in with therapy or counselling, when in fact they are quite different. In life coaching, we don't delve into your past or focus on healing a trauma. Instead, we begin with the end in mind, and use where you are now as a jumping off point to build the future you want.

What unites the people I work with is a desire for change, clarity and confidence.


Who do I coach?

My background is in the performing arts, and I often work with opera singers, freelance performers, musicians, creatives and people juggling portfolio careers. That said, I've also coached wine buyers, physicists, business owners and food scientists. 


Coaching isn't about the job you do - it's about the human underneath. What unites the people I work with is a desire for change, clarity and confidence. Together we look at what's holding you back and find a new path that feels grounded, focused and personal to you. 

How do I work?

Sessions are held online, usually via Zoom. They're relaxed, friendly and collaborative. You won't be talked at, or given a 10-step formula to fix your life. Instead, we'll create a space for you to explore what you really want and build tools to help you get there.  


If you're curious about coaching but not sure where to begin, I always recommend starting with a free 30-minute taster session. It's a gentle, no-pressure way to get a feel for how I work, and whether coaching feels right for you.
